It ‘s not in my policy to release unfinished versions, but since I just changed jobs I won ‘t have the time to develop in a fast pace, hence I ‘m releasing a reasonably stable version of the next Trinity Rescue Kit 3.2.
The new partially functional features are:
-virusscan –avg: Grisoft antivirus is now integrated in TRK by downloading it from their site and running it. It is not yet possible to integrate it in a new TRK iso with updatetrk, but it should already be functional (I ran it a couple of times).
-proxy parameters on prompt (broken): many administrators don ‘t have access to their DHCP parameters nor proxy and cannot run a trkoptionsserver. An option is now given that you can specify a proxy prompted on startup. This feature is broken because of a wrong ‘fi;’ placement. You should remove the fi; in /etc/init.d/trklocal on line 169 and put it behind the section where ends trkoptionsserver. Afterwards rebuild your TRK with trkupdate.
-boot from usb sticks and other block devices (by popular demand). This is completely untested, but it might already work. If you copy the contents of the TRK cd to a USB stick or harddisk, you might be able to boot of it. It ‘s required that the bootpartition is in FAT and the volumelabel is called ‘TRK3.2’ You should install a bootloader yourself like syslinux, lilo or grub and specify these lines
"kernel /isolinux/kernel.trk
append initrd=/isolinux/initrd.gz ramdisk_size=32768 root=/dev/ram0 vga=788 splash=verbose automatic=method:" in your bootloader (this is isolinux/syslinux). Please tell me how far you got with it and be my guest to debug it.

Bugfixes:
-backspace is now a backspace and not a ^H
-small stuff I don ‘t even remember and forgot to write down. Anyway, I don ‘t think there ‘s a lot of old features that are broken (except eject cd again). Please report in the forum if so. Well documented reported bugs result in short fix times (which means I can work on TRK a little in the weekends) You may download TRK 3.2 here at Oregon State University, my fastest mirror.
